Story behind the song
Weird one this. The chorus was written in 2011, based on some strange chords I found, but I didn't finish the rest of the lyrics until 2016. Finally got round to working on it last May - had everything done except the vocal when I fell ill. So this became the first song I sang on when my voice gradually started to recover 8 months later. Weird because the lyrics seem to match feelings I had during rehab even though they were written ages before. Ha, life actually does imitate art. Voice is better now but I decided to leave this cracked & damaged version because it suited the song quite well.

Great to hear a new one from you...and what a brilliant comeback! Vocals fit the theme perfectly and express the emotion behind this song. Love that arrangement, this sounds like a chart topper to me. Looking forward to hearing plenty more from you in 2018 - the hit master is back!
