Story behind the song
Based on a true story. Ray, a wildlife photographer and good friend, had booked an 8 day camping trip into the heart of the Eagle Cap wilderness in Oregon. He was to pack in on horseback. Problem is, Ray had never ridden a horse. So, the pack guide saddled up Hank the mule so Ray could practice before the big trip. It did not go well and so a song was born.
