Cedar Falls Could be anywhere.
The band hail from the outskirts of Liverpool, with a sound and attitude influenced by Manchester acts such as The Smiths, Doves and Long-view. ‘Cedar Falls’ convey their own unique take on matters such lost love and war.
Robert Hough, Keiron Coyne, Joey Lowtown and Alex Williams formed ‘Cedar Falls’ in late 2005 and the band made their live bow on New Years Eve, 2005 at The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool.
Since that date the band have played shows across the North of England including Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester accumulating a large following to their shows.
In November 2007, the band parted company with lead guitarist Joey Lowtown, and have become a 'power trio'. Playing gigs at Liverpool Music Week and accross the pennines as the 3 piece format.
The band has been keen to build on their catalogue of strong anthemic songs adding to it by writing and recording at every opportunity. The band strive to deliver an energetic live performance that showcases their by now signature large epic sound, characterised by a mix of bass throb and choppy, sparse guitar, drawing comparisons to post-punk bands Joy Division, Editors & Interpol.
With ambitions above their stations, ‘Cedar Falls’ could go anywhere. Where is your Cedar Falls?
