A catchy (I hope so!) Pop/ Rock 'protest song', about the current dreadful situation in the UK in 2018...and the possibility of even worse things to come!

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
An edgy sound reminiscent of The Skids (1980s)...Those of you who can remember that far back, will notice that the 'transistor radio' intro features the intro of The Skids hit, 'Working For The Yankee Dollar', and at the very end of the song, I play the classic riff/solo from their song, 'A Woman In Winter'. Apart from that intro, all this is my own invention.
Lyrics
Heartbreak Cities (and Funeral Pyres)...David A Briggs (2018) A Northern town in the rain, opportunities down the drain, Promises of better times, you politicians, you spin your lies. Catch my heart, it's on fire, Heartbreak cities our funeral pyres. Vacant faces, looking on, watch their futures all gone wrong... Time to enter...time to leave, I'm checking out, give me time to breath. Time to enter...time to leave, I'm checking out now, it's time to leave. How many years must we wait, our destiny's in the hands of fate. Keep your nerve, keep your cool, don't play their game...be no-one's fool Catch my heart, it's on fire, Heartbreak cities our funeral pyres. Vacant faces, looking on, watch their futures, it's all gone wrong... Time to enter...time to leave, I'm checking out, give me time to breath. Time to enter...time to leave, I'm checking out now, it's time to leave.

Very warm tones you're getting on the guitar. I like the sound you have on that little lead riff. Very good mix. You're getting great sound with the gear you're using. Very Much Enjoyed.

Neat musical atmospheres layered in this. I like the drums a lot, everything is really good, though!
I can relate cuz the world is falling apart !

Love the transistor radio retro intro. Clever. Very good space in the mix, with all instruments clearly resonating. Superb guitar work with great dual harmony riffs. a very catchy and enjoyable melody.

I like the 80's vibe you've got here, and the new, more aggressive, edge to your repertoire! Great job on the lyrics and guitar. I can definitely hear The Skids influence, but you've added your own magic too. Top notch work on the sound and production!!
