Story behind the song
Many moons ago in my Buffalo-area high school, I had to write the inevitable term paper. I picked a topic of local interest: the 1978 environmental disaster at Love Canal, Niagara Falls. What I discovered about this very avoidable tragedy shocked me and introduced me to the outright lies often perpetrated by the mainstream media to get a political agenda through. People may enjoy blaming the stereotypical greedy big businessman, whenever the ordinary working folks suffer ... but real life is more complicated than Disney!
