Story behind the song
I've resisted songwriting for the past 4 or 5 months, to concentrate on learning all the new tools I've acquired and to better my keyboard chops, among other things. However, the other night I decided to just sit down and record something... brought up 3 tracks/synths with patches I like (Alchemy, Diva, and Damage) and just started playing and singing whatever came to mind... It was a magical moment and, in a single pass... real time... "Yum Yum" was born... the only thing I added afterward was the radio spot at the end... and it was a great exercise in "mixing", as I levelized/edited individual tracks that had all been played in the single pass... goes to show some things just come out pretty good... unplanned... Obviously all the words and emotions swirl in my head every day, and it's theraputic to be able to emote this way these days! I feel that humanity is at a crossroads... I often contemplate the future and right now I see us allowing "corporations" to Eat Our World! We will either stand up and fight against this, or allow it to continue till we go extinct... My mantra is that we must get back to our community roots and work together at transforming our paradigm into a sustainable and wonderful experience. So much is possible, given all the amazing scientific wonders we are beginning to unravel... If we don't take charge and allow corporations to continue raping, pillaging and plundering... we're FRACKED!

(This part needs some work)... 7,000 temperature records were in March alone! Massive dolphin die-offs are occurring in the gulf since the BP oil disaster And Fukushima is teetering on total collapse which may contaminate the entire planet Meanwhile, clean energy subsidies are being eliminated as dirty energy corporations bribe our Congress!
