Kids grow up and find that many of the things their parents told them just don't make sense. Parents usually teach what they were taught and from generation to generation many myths and fairy tales are perpetuated. Time to grow up and reject those lies from the past and perhaps tell your parents what you know was a lie.
Lyrics
SORRY TO TELL YOU
You’ve been alive Much longer than I
And still have no clue About life
They told you lies Confused you from birth
And now you’re too old To care why
And now I am the one who must tell you
I couldn’t be cruel if I tried
But you can believe what I’m saying
You taught me not to lie
(BREAK)
And now I am the one who must tell you
I couldn’t be cruel if I tried
But you can believe what I’m saying
You taught me not to lie
You can still try To walk far away
From those ancient ways That they sold you
You still have time To enjoy more of life
Instead of the lot That you live
You only have this one life
Nothing you take to your grave
It’s only the love that we give
That’s truly the reason we live
I’m sorry it’s me
I’m sorry to tell you
I just have to tell you
You lied
